How should a print file be prepared?
To achieve a professional and high-quality print result, print files should be prepared in high resolution, with clear details and the correct file format. For POD products on Podbul, PNG files with a transparent background are generally preferred.
Designs submitted for printing should ideally be prepared at 300 DPI resolution. A 300 DPI file helps the design appear sharper, clearer, and more professional when printed.
The edges of the design should be clean, and the background should not contain unwanted colors, shadows, stains, or leftover marks. Text, lines, and fine details should be sharp enough, and low-resolution or blurry images should not be used.
The better the design file is prepared, the clearer, cleaner, and more professional the final print result will be.
How can I check the DPI resolution of a print file?
On Windows:
Right-click the file → select Properties → go to the Details tab. Here, you may be able to view the horizontal and vertical resolution information.
On Mac:
Open the file with Preview → click Tools → Show Inspector → check the resolution and pixel dimensions in the information panel.
In design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator:
You can check the canvas size and resolution from the file settings or export settings. For printing, it is recommended that the design is prepared at 300 DPI with sufficient pixel dimensions.
