What is the print area, and how should a design be positioned?
The print area may vary depending on the selected product, size, and printing method. When preparing your design, it is recommended to position it within the safe print area shown in the Podbul panel.
As a general guideline, the maximum print area for DTG printing is 14 × 16 inches, while the maximum print area for DTF printing is 14 × 14 inches. These dimensions help ensure that the design is positioned correctly, proportionally, and within the printable area.
For the best results, designs should be centered and placed in a balanced, visually appealing position on the product. For large front prints, the artwork should not be placed too close to the edges and should remain within the safe print area.
Keep in mind that the appearance of a design may vary across different garment sizes. When positioning your artwork, consider not only the maximum print area but also the overall shape and proportions of the product.
For POD printing, it is recommended to use high-resolution PNG files with a transparent background, ideally at 300 DPI. Well-prepared design files help produce cleaner, sharper, and more professional-looking print results.
